To connect Alexa to a new WiFi network, follow these steps:
- Open the Alexa app and tap on "Devices".
- Select the Alexa device you want to connect to a new WiFi network.
- Click on "Change" next to WiFi Network.
- Enter the password for the new network.
To increase Alexa’s sensitivity, you can use the following voice commands:
- "Alexa, enable audio" to increase sensitivity.
- "Alexa, mute" to decrease sensitivity.
- Alexa will restore the original volume when you reactivate audio.
- You can also ask Alexa to set a specific volume level, for example, "Alexa, volume 3".
To update the firmware of your Echo Dot, follow these steps:
- Open the "Alexa" app on your mobile device.
- Go to "Settings".
- Choose "Echo Dot".
- Select "Information".
- Click on "Check for Software Update".
- Follow the prompts to update the firmware.
- Flashing red: The microphone was turned off.
- Flashing orange: Configuration and internet connection mode.
- Solid green: Incoming call.
- Purple: "Do Not Disturb" mode is enabled.
If Alexa is not responding or not pronouncing the previous phrase, try the following steps:
- Restart the device.
- Move the speaker away from obstacles and at least 20 cm from the wall.
To turn off Alexa, you can either press the microphone button again or disconnect the power. Rest assured that your privacy is protected as Alexa cannot listen to your calls. To restart Alexa, simply press the microphone button again or reconnect the power.
To remove a family member from Alexa, follow these steps:
- Select "Family Profiles".
- If you don’t see this option, make sure to update the app.
- Delete the profile by tapping on the trash bin icon.
- Choose the profile you want to remove.
