Reading deleted messages on iPhone with WhatsApp is very simple. You can try accessing deleted messages by restoring a WhatsApp backup made before the chat deletion.
To recover deleted messages, select iPhone, press on Recovery, and then select Messages & Attachments. After clicking on Start Scan, the restoration process will begin. It will take a few minutes to bring back your SMS.
Simply go to Activity and choose "Notification Log" to access the home screen. This way, you can enter the notification history and find the WhatsApp messages that a user has deleted.
The way WAMR works is very simple: it simply copies all the information in the notifications and pastes them directly into the app. This allows you to save all the messages you receive, even those deleted before reading them.
To recover the backup:
- Check that the new Android device is connected to the Google account where the backup was saved.
- Install WhatsApp and open it, then verify your phone number.
- To restore chats and media from Google Drive when needed, tap RESTORE.
Follow these steps to recover deleted messages:
- Start backing up and restoring SMS.
- Press the "?" button.
- Click on "Restore".
- Select the backup files you want to restore from the chosen path.
- Press the "Restore", "Ok", and "Change" buttons to complete the process.
You can disable the "blue ticks", which confirm the reading of WhatsApp messages if you want to read a message without letting the sender know that you have seen it.
Once messages are sent, WhatsApp does not keep transaction log files or retain the messages themselves. After 30 days, undelivered messages are deleted from the server.
You can access WhatsApp from your PC using WhatsApp Web if your smartphone is not available at the moment. After logging in, you should be able to view active conversations. By clicking on the three dots and selecting "Archived", search for the archived chat to restore.
