The easiest way to open XPS files on Windows is to use the Microsoft XPS Viewer, which is available for Windows 10, Windows 8.x, and Windows 7. You can easily access it from the Start menu.


Microsoft introduced a new file exchange format for Windows users with Windows Vista: XPS. This format is based on XML standards like Office OpenXML and allows you to save documents from any program and use a reader to view them.

To modify XPS files, the best solution is to use NiXPS Edit. This application allows you to merge and extract pages from a document, change text, move and delete elements in the document, change colors, and print XPS files.

XPS Viewer sets permissions for XPS files and digitally signs the document. Microsoft’s Reader application can also be used to open XPS files on Windows 10 and Windows 8.

To open XPS files on a Mac:

  1. Open a web browser and go to the Google Docs website.
  2. In the top right corner of the interface, click on the folder logo.
  3. Click on "Upload" and select the XPS file from your computer.
  4. Find the XPS file, click on it, and click "Open."

Once Office is downloaded and installed on your computer, Excel will automatically be set as the default program to open, view, and edit spreadsheets. In other words, to open an XLS file, you need to double-click on it.

There are two methods to download the XML file of an electronic invoice:

  • Click on the "Download Invoice" button and follow the guided procedure to submit the document.
  • In the main toolbar, click on the printer button and select the "Download Invoicing" menu item.
  1. Choose a file, then select Export and create a PDF/XPS file.
  2. If the Word document properties contain information that you do not want to include in the PDF, you can choose Options in the Publish as PDF or XPS window. Then select the document and choose Document Properties.

  • Download the converted document.
