- If you are using Windows, search for the Control Panel.
- Select Hardware and then select AutoPlay.
- Choose "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices".
- Click on the drop-down menu next to each type of CD, DVD, or Blu-ray.
- Select "Ask me every time" and click on "Save".
To play a CD on your computer:
- Insert the DVD you want to play into the drive.

- If you want to play a disc that is already inserted, open Windows Media Player.

You can use VLC media player. VLC is the first program for watching DVDs on your PC. It is a completely free and open-source program that works with Windows and Mac.
