Chat Notifications
In the main Tinder page, a red dot will appear on the Chat icon whenever a user responds to your message or sends you a new message. It will also appear when you have discovered a new match.
Discovering Likes
To discover who has liked you on Tinder, look for a blurred icon on the left side of your first match. This icon indicates the number of people who have liked you. Click on it to see a screen full of blurred images of people who have recently viewed your Tinder profile.
Hiding from Others on Tinder
To avoid being seen by someone on Tinder, simply access your account settings and hide Tinder from your profile. Follow these steps:
- Go to Privacy Options.
- Click on the lock icon.
- Explore other options.
- Find "Applications" and select Tinder.
- Choose "Only Me" under "App Visibility".
Checking if Someone is on Tinder
Currently, it is easy to find out if someone is on Tinder. Simply reload the feed by exiting and re-entering the app, and swipe left for a while. Most likely, it will show if the individual is active, registered, and not offline.
Symbols on Tinder
The symbols on Tinder have the following meanings:
- The red X button is used to delete someone’s profile.
- The green heart is a sign of appreciation.
How Likes Work on Tinder
When using Tinder, swiping right indicates approval, while swiping left indicates disinterest. You can directly tap the green heart to like someone or the red X to indicate that you do not like their profile.
Undoing Actions on Tinder
Only Tinder subscribers can undo their most recent actions (like, No, Super Like). Tap on the profile icon and select "Settings" to get Tinder Plus, Tinder Gold, or Tinder Platinum subscription.
Storm on Tinder
A Boost highlights your profile in your area for 30 minutes. Whenever you want to get ten times more views, use the purple lightning bolt.
Daily Likes on Tinder
You have one Super Like per day, but you can subscribe to Tinder Plus in the app settings and get five per day.
Discovering Mutual Likes on Tinder
Tinder only shows likes from people who are interested in each other to protect user privacy. However, with a Tinder Gold subscription, you can access this feature without spending money.
